Grow Christians

Write for Us

Grow Christians welcomes original submissions of blog posts on faith at home and/or faithful parenting. We want to publish concise, well-written, first-person stories and reflections from a diverse group of Christians seeking to live and share our faith, especially with younger generations. We want to publish viewpoints from authors who will edify our audience – a diverse group of mostly Episcopalians seeking to live and share our faith, especially with younger generations. (See what I did there?) We are interested in first-person stories from younger Christians reflecting on faith practice and discipleship as you experience them. Youth are welcome to submit posts for consideration with parent/guardian approval. Authors are not expected to be perfect or provide final answers to readers. Grow Christians is a place on the Internet where we are all growing. This includes the editor. Authors are expected to tell their own story, reflecting on how faith at home and with kids is working – and not working – in your own life. We welcome posts that fit the following criteria:
  • Between 600-800 words
  • A real story about your own life or reflection based on your experience
  • About the practice of Christian faith at home, primarily with children and youth
  • Which makes reference to Scripture or reflects the traditions of The Episcopal Church/Anglican tradition
The fine print: We cannot accept every post for publication due to our own limitations of time and space. If we accept your post, we may seek to edit it, either for clarity or to fit more neatly into our editorial calendar. We will not publish a revised piece without your permission. If you have published something elsewhere on the Internet that meets the above criteria which you would like us to consider for republication, we welcome an inquiry and link to the original publication. To submit post for consideration, please email our editor, the Rev. Allison Sandlin Liles. All inquiries will receive a response within two weeks.
