I imagine some folks prefer keeping their thin places to themselves, so that they remain personal sanctuaries hidden from the rest of the world. However, I’ve found tremendous joy sharing them with my husband and children.
Everyone told me that visiting Iona, a small island off of the western coast of Scotland would be a magical, otherworldly experience.
I’m inspired by Aidan’s commitment to share the good news of Jesus Christ to people who needed to hear the message of salvation.
Years ago, I helped lead a youth group to Iona, Scotland for a pilgrimage. I remember thinking how great of a gift it was, to travel there in the first place, but also to be celebrating the Eucharist in a chapel at Iona, as well as on its shores.
